3. BACKGRUND

 

Tuglin, is a sector that belongs to the community of Jatun Juigua Yacubamba, of the Pujilí canton.

 

The women's organization in Tuglin has been working with FEDICE on productive projects since 2017, under the foundation's policies.

 

The Organization has a common fund from the previous project of $7,000, the result of the interest generated in the previous 2 years by internal credits.

 

The organization of 25 Fighting Women of the Philadelphia Church of Tuglin and FEDICE hold a work meeting to carry out a new project on fattening and dairy cattle.

 

FEDICE discloses the policies of the institution on the amounts and the form of recovery of funds. The organization also expresses its contributions to the project.

 

4. TYPE OF PROJECT

 

The current project is livestock (), the contribution of FEDICE is with a credit of $15,000, per credits of $600 per family and support in the installation, monitoring, training and evaluation of the project.

 

The contributions of the organization are: pastures, medicines, transportation for the purchase, care and payment of the credit.es con un crédito de $ 15,000, es decir $ 600por familia y el apoyo en la instalación, seguimiento, capacitación y evaluación del proyecto.

 

5. OBJETIVES

General Objetive

Improve the organizational, economic, nutritional and technical standard of living of Tuglin families with the production of beef and dairy cattle.

 

Specific Objetives

1. Increase the amount of milk and meat through genetic improvement of animals.

2. Implement a training and technology transfer program according to the technical requirements of the project.

3. Increase the capital of the organization through the promotion of savings and the delivery of loans to members,

4. Carry out the follow-up and evaluation of activities at the family and organizational level.

 

6. DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT

The activities that will be carried out will be the following:

1. Equitably distribute the resources $600 to each beneficiary in the form of a reimbursable fund for the installation of the project.

2. Coordinator with the foundation and companies for the purchase of animals.

3. Recover every 4 months the capital plus the individual cost of training and monitoring of their companies, that is, the amount of 230 dollars and create a revolving fund, to give loans within the organization at 2% monthly interest.

4. Pay FEDICE the interest when the year arrives and in the second year pay capital with the interest.

5. Continue saving, 10 dollars every four months.

6. The Beneficiaries: They must actively participate in the preparation and implementation of the project. Contribute with the grass ¼ Ha. to guarantee the feeding of the bovine cattle. Contribute with facilities such as corals for the technical upbringing of animals. Actively participate in the different trainings that FEDICE will impart. Provide transportation for the purchase of animals. Labor for planting pastures and for the care of animals. Purchase of animals at fairs, production centers or in nearby communities. Submit production and reproduction reports.

7. Receive loans with interest assigned by the organization, in these amounts at 2% monthly.

 

7.FINANCING 

​

The president and the treasurer will sign a promissory note at the Institution for the total of the reimbursable fund $15,000.00, while to ensure the recovery of the funds internally, all the beneficiaries will sign a promissory note for the $600 principal and $90 for the individual cost of training and monitoring.

The project is for 2 years: the first year they will pay $2,250 for training and follow-up and the second year they will pay the capital $15,000 and the $2,250 for follow-up and training.

8. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

The follow-up of the activities will be carried out through: home visits to verify the productions, meetings to analyze difficulties and solve existing problems, recommendations and planning of activities. The families involved in the project will participate.

The activities to be carried out will be compiled through reports, records and photographs, which will serve for analysis in the evaluation.

The progress of the project will be evaluated fairly in terms of the objectives set, in the plan of activities, budgets, goals and impacts. It will be carried out through: visits, interviews with the beneficiaries, meetings, among others. All the families involved in the project will participate in this process.
