DOMESTIC ANIMAL PRODUCTION PROJECT

AND BUSINESS OF IMPORTING CLOTHES AND FOOTWEAR

 

 

1. SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT

“WIÑAY MASHIKUNA (WOMEN GROWING UP) GROUP, made up of 10 families, began working with FEDICE since September 2022 on a productive project in the raising of poultry, pigs and cattle.

The 10 women this year worked on their individual productions and also on group work such as planting beans, selling groceries and other activities. 

In addition, they currently have $4,030 dollars as their own funds. The same that is distributed in the hands of the beneficiaries as internal reimbursable funds.

FEDICE and the 10 women of the organization are developing a new project, the reimbursable funds this time will be $5,000, that is, each family will work with $500, to invest in the new ventures.

The new project will be for the raising of poultry, cattle, pigs, guinea pigs and the import of clothing.

4. BENEFICIARIES: 10 women.

 

5.         JUSTIFICATION:

Inclement weather, low economic resources and little knowledge in animal management are the main problems, so the 10 families decide to undertake a livestock project. A family knows about the business of buying and selling clothing and footwear for families in the area, so they decide to start this type of business. Finally, a family, in addition to raising animals, is dedicated to making bread for sale and consumption, for this reason they will allocate the resources to purchase an oven.

With the associated work of the 10 families in the execution of this project, the Wiñay Mashicuna organization is strengthened organizationally, they have a board of directors. to work with FEDICE, there is participation of the group in the search for sources of work and the opportunity to obtain a productive project with FEDICE that will support with resources and technical assistance.

7. OBJECTIVES

General objective

Contribute to organizational and productive strengthening to improve the quality of life of the families of the Wiñañ Mashicuna organization.

Specific objectives:

  • Strengthen the women's organization through the implementation of the productive project.

  • Establish and technically maintain the production of birds and animals by taking advantage of the physical and human resources available in the community.

  • Start new businesses such as importing clothing.

  • Improve, through training, training and transfer of appropriate technologies, the level of knowledge and skills, in order to reinforce the self-management capacity of the families participating in the project.

8. GOALS

  • The organization of 10 families will continue with the same board of directors that will support for 1 more year under internal regulations and monthly meetings.

  • 10 families maintain their projects: they produce poultry, cattle, pigs, guinea pigs and chickens, as well as importing clothing. 

  • Contribute to the practical solution of the problems of poverty, unemployment and marginality of the peasant families that live in the community.

  • 10 families trained in Organizational and technical topics in animal husbandry.

9. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

The monitoring of activities will be carried out through: home visits to see the productions, meetings to analyze difficulties and solve existing problems, recommendations and planning of activities. The 10 families involved in the project will participate.

The activities carried out will be compiled through reports, records and photographs, which will be used for analysis in the evaluation.
