PLANCHALOMA

PROJECT FOR STRENGTHENING OF THE PRODUCTION OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS AND SEVERAL FAMILY BUSINESSES

WITH THE GROUP IN PLANCHALOMA

 

1. LOCATION

2. BENEFICIARIES: 20 familias: 14 mujeres y 6 hombres

 

3. BACKGROUND

 

PLANCHALOMA. It is a community that belongs to the Toacaso parish of the Latacunga canton of the Cotopaxi province. In this community the activities will continue on a new project for raising animals and businesses.

 

The previous group was made up of 16 families. Then they request the entry of 4 families and complete 20 families.

 

For the new project, with the group of 20 families, they organized themselves to work on a project for the production of dairy cattle, sheep breeding and the increase of businesses such as: stationery, cyber, diaper, sale of clothing, and sale of agricultural products. .

 

The organization of20 families and FEDICE hold a virtual meeting in which they analyze a project proposal for which they request a reimbursable fund of $20,000 to pay within a year and a half.

 

4. TYPE OF PROJECT

 

Livestock production and various businesses

20 families are strengthened in the group, they have ratified the board that will support for 1 year in the management of projects and direction of the organization

The 11 families produce, within the technical parameters, dairy cattle and 4 families produce sheep.

5 families increase their businesses: agricultural store, diaper store, clothing store, stationery store and cyber.

 

 

5. OBJETIVES

General Objetive

Improve the organizational, economic, nutritional and technical standard of living of the families of Planchaloma with the production of dairy cattle, sheep and the increase in business

 

Specific Objetives

 

  • Strengthen the organizational part around the productive project.

  • Introduce dairy cattle, sheep

  • Increase business: sale of clothing, agricultural store, sale of diapers, stationery and the increase in the cyber.

  • Monitoring a follow-up program by means of virtual communication and later in person.

 

6. DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT

 

For the development of this project, the following steps will be followed:

a. Coordinate the activities with the family producers and then the project has a normal fulfillment for the elaboration, implementation, installation, follow-up and evaluation of the project.

b. Equitably distribute the resources $ 1,000 to each beneficiary in the form of credit for the installation of the project. The families will pay a FEDICE in a year and a half term.

c. Recover the capital and the contribution for training and follow-up of their societies every 4 months and create a revolving fund, to give new internal credits for a period of 3 months

d. The group must actively participate in the elaboration and implementation of the project, contributing with facilities such as: pens for the technical rearing of cattle and sheep.

e. Contribute with the locations for the different businesses and actively participate in the different follow-ups.

f. Provide transportation for the purchase of animals and supplies and labor for animal care.

g. Purchase of animals: dairy cattle and sheep in nearby communities.

h. Submit production and reproduction reports via different ways of social media and later face-to-face meetings.

i. Fully pay the credit to the board every 4 months.

j. Receive and pay re-loans with interest assigned by the organization

k. Finally, at the end of the project (12th month), we will proceed to evaluate the results achieved by the project. For this we will apply a participatory evaluation. The main parameters to be analyzed are: 1. Payment of reimbursable fund and interest, 2. attendance at training, 3. fulfillment of activities proposed in the schedule, and 4. decision making.

8. FINANCING

 

The president and the treasurer will sign a promissory note in the community for the total of the reimbursable fund of $20,000.00, while to ensure the recovery of the funds internally.

 

All the beneficiaries will sign a promissory note for the $1,000 capital and $ 225 for contribution for training and follow-up for the year and a half of care. The organization requests the credit for a term of 1 year and a half.

 

The recovery of capital funds ($ 1,000) and the contribution for training and follow-up ($ 225) a total of $ 1,225 per person will be made every 4 months.  

 

Internal loans will be applied, under the policies of the organization; They decide to give at 2% interest and for three months, and thus increase the organization's common fund.

 

 

9. MONOTORING AND EVALUATION

The follow-up of the activities is carried out through: WhatsApp. The beneficiaries will indicate their animals and carry out the respective handling practices. Indications will be made via virtual meetings and later with face-to-face visits, where the analysis of difficulties and solution of existing problems, recommendations and planning of activities will be carried out.

 

Financial management will also be monitored. It will take it to the treasurer and will complete her reports when the organization and FEDICE request it.

 

Families and directors involved in the project will participate.

 

The activities to be carried out will be compiled through reports, records and photographs, which will serve for analysis in the evaluation.
